Where boys can discover what they’re capable of.
Cub Scouting turns everyday moments into opportunities to explore, learn, serve, and lead. Pack 3050 offers a welcoming place for boys in kindergarten through fifth grade—and for their families to make memories alongside them.
We’re based in Shawnee and hold our primary meetings at Hope Lutheran. You don’t need Scouting experience, special equipment, or an outdoorsy background. Just bring your curiosity.

A program that grows with him
One pack. Six age-appropriate adventures.
Boys meet in small groups called dens, organized by grade, and come together for larger pack activities. Each year builds new skills, independence, and friendships.

A meaningful experience that fits into family life.
- Local and approachable. Regular meetings take place at Hope Lutheran in Shawnee.
- Parents are part of it. Cub Scouting creates shared experiences, not another activity watched from the sidelines.
- Accessible to more families. Scholarships may be available, national fees are waived for youth of eligible military families, and Pack 3050 pays registration fees for adult pack leaders.
- Everyone chips in. Pack 3050 is a family-run volunteer organization. We ask parents to help in roles both small and large—from supporting a single event or sharing a skill to serving in pack leadership—so every Scout gets the most from his experience.

Does my son need outdoor experience?+
Not at all. Cub Scouting is designed for beginners. Adult leaders help every Scout learn at his own pace in a safe, encouraging setting.
Do parents participate?+
Yes. Cub Scouting works best as a family experience. A parent or caring adult attends with younger Scouts, and families are invited to pack activities throughout the year. Pack 3050 is a family-run volunteer organization, so we ask every family to pitch in through a role—small or large—to help the boys get the most from their Scouting experience.
What does a Scout wear?+
The official Cub Scout uniform is used for ceremonies and many pack events. Pack or other Scouting shirts may be used for active, informal activities.
What does it cost?+
National and local registration fees apply, but cost should not prevent a family from participating. Scout scholarships may be available, and Pack 3050 covers registration fees for adults who volunteer in pack leadership.
What is the commitment?+
Pack 3050 typically has weekly get-togethers during the school year, with special events offered throughout the year and during the summer.
